Ben Vu, co-Founder and CEO of SkyVu, attributes the successful launch to the ever-growing BATTLE BEARS fan base and the company’s strategic decision to make BATTLE BEARS ROYALE a free-to-play game.  “Our fans have supported us from the beginning and shared in our vision of making innovative mobile games with a twist of humor and plenty of non-stop action.  We couldn’t have gotten this far without them.  By making our games free-to-play, we’ve eliminated all barriers to experiencing our original brands.” says Vu.

Vu adds, “Our goal was to make an extremely fun multiplayer shooter that anyone can play anytime, anywhere, with anyone, for free.”  BATTLE BEARS ROYALE features 5 different character classes with almost a hundred different weapons, power ups, skins, and special features.  Character classes include:  OLIVER the brown bear (Soldier class),  RIGGS the polar bear (Heavy class), TILLMAN the robotic panda (Demolition class), HUGGABLE the pink bear (Huggable class), and ASTORIA the very first female BATTLE BEAR (Sniper class).  BATTLE BEARS ROYALE is currently compatible with 3rd generation and higher iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads.  The game can be played over standard WiFi or 3G connections.  Leaderboard & achievement systems provided by Game Center and GREE’s OpenFeint.

SkyVu plans to continue updating BATTLE BEARS ROYALE through 2012 and beyond.  “This is the tip of the iceberg.  We will be adding more social features, game modes, classes, weapons, skins and maps.  We also actively listen to our fans on Facebook, Twitter and BattleBears.com for their suggestions.”  An Android version is also in the works and will provide real-time cross-platform game play between iPhone and Android users.
